It’s not just Google Maps that can be embedded into a website, either! There are many other online map services that can be embedded into web pages. Google Maps is one of the most popular, but there is also OpenStreetMap, Bing Maps, MapQuest, and Yahoo! Maps. The concept is the same for any of them: put the map code in the HTML of your page and add the map to your website.

For embedding the google maps type the location you want to display on your website. when the map loads, click on the share icon and then select the 'embed map' option from there. You will see an iframe code there. Copy that code and paste it into your project.

Embedding a Google map on your website is a great idea, but where should you place it? Where will it be most effective? Where will it help you get more traffic or conversions? You might have heard of the term "above the fold" which means that your Google map should be shown above the part of the website that users have to scroll down to see. This is the same for all other kinds of content you want to display on your website. If you have anything worth reading, showing it above the fold will be a great idea. If it’s above the fold, you will be sure users will see it. Remember that users often have to scroll down to see what’s below the fold, so make sure that your most interesting content is above it.
